We will be gradually adding some amazing events to our calendar. All of them will be announced through our Facebook page or check back regularly to see the events we are holding across the year.
As you are all aware the recognition of Remembrance Sunday will be a far more limited affair throughout the country this year from the Cenotaph in London to Rode where there won’t be any ceremony this year.
The Mill will be open at 1030 and have a 60″ screen upstairs in our Function Room showing the ceremony from London. We will (courtesy of Col. Peter Bates) decorate the Function Room with camouflage netting, sandbags etc and invite guests to display their own memorabilia. From 1030 till 1200 we will serve coffee, tea and biscuits free of charge but will have a collection for the Wolverton War Memorial which is urgent need of funds. After 1200 we will serve a Sunday lunch and will contribute £4 for every guest that we have upstairs which we will split between the Wolverton War Memorial fund and the Royal British Legion who have been very adversely affected by the Coronavirus epidemic.
If you would like to bring memorabilia to be displayed it would be helpful to receive this by Saturday the 7th.
We look forward to seeing you on the 8th for what is always a very important day for us.
Food & Wine Pairing Evening
We had our first ever wine and food pairing evening
In our private exclusive events room. Nicola Allison, the owner of the award-winning Chateau Du Seuil, spent a evening with us at The Mill in Rode.
Chateau Du Seuil is located in Graves and unusually produces red, white, rose and Methode Champenoise wines of great quality. The Chateau has been recognised by numerous awards.
This collaboration with Nicola Allison did result in a great night of great food from The Mill matched with outstanding wines from Chateau Du Seuil.
